The world of cinema is changing, and technology is leading the way! On 28th June 2025, the L.V. Prasad College of Media Studies hosted an exciting free webinar titled “AI in Filmmaking”. The session turned out to be a huge success, with 60+ students from across India joining in to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping storytelling and production.
The star of the session was Mr. Vikram Sridhar, a filmmaker, video consultant, and trainer, who kept the audience hooked with his insights. From research and scripting tools to video and audio processing and even AI-based content enhancement, he showed how the latest tech is unlocking endless possibilities for creators. The much-talked-about topic of generative AI and licensing was also explained in a way that students could easily connect with.
What really stood out was Mr. Sridhar’s deep dive into career opportunities. He explained how AI is opening doors not just in films but also in television, corporate filmmaking, and advertising. With companies now actively looking for AI artists, he encouraged students to think beyond traditional roles and prepare for a future where creativity and technology go hand in hand.
The interactive Q&A session added extra spark, with students eagerly discussing the future of AI in the Indian film industry. Many were inspired by the idea that AI isn’t replacing artists—it’s empowering them to tell bigger, bolder, and smarter stories.
The session was smoothly curated by Mr. Ravichandar Gopal Rao, General Manager and Business Head of L.V. Prasad College of Media Studies. Adding to the success behind the scenes were Mr. Sathish (Digital Marketing Manager) and Mr. Sasi Kumar (SEO Executive), who handled technical support and digital outreach.
