Alumni Spotlight | A Proud Homecoming!!!

The AV Hall at L V Prasad College of Media Studies, Chennai Campus, came alive with pride and nostalgia on 22nd May 2025, as the institution hosted the much-awaited Alumni Meet 2025. The gathering celebrated the journeys of its accomplished alumni who returned to inspire the next generation of storytellers, editors, and filmmakers.

The college was delighted to welcome back Mr. Sarveshwaran, alumnus of the PG Diploma in Editing program and now the Assistant Editor of the blockbuster Maaman. His engaging session offered students a peek into the magic of film editing, complete with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and the challenges of translating vision into cinematic reality.

It was also a proud moment to host Mr. Arun Kumar, PG Diploma in Film Direction. His diploma film Punal traveled across film festivals in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, earning praise for its storytelling depth. Sharing his creative journey, Arun highlighted the importance of perseverance and passion in filmmaking.

A full-circle moment unfolded with Mr. Srikarthik, another PG Diploma in Editing alumnus. Now the Assistant Editor of the blockbuster Tourist Family, Srikarthik returned to campus to inspire students with his incredible journey from edit labs to big screens, enriching the session with behind-the-scenes stories and professional insights.

Adding to the day’s pride, Ms. Ajooma Elizabeth Cherian, now a successful Corporate Editor, shared her inspiring transition from student editor to industry professional. Her talk offered real-world wisdom, emphasizing the artistry behind every cut and transition.

The meet was more than a reunion—it was a celebration of memories, achievements, and the unbreakable bond with the alma mater. Alumni encouraged current students to embrace creativity, resilience, and carry forward the legacy of L V Prasad College of Media Studies with pride.
