On September 5th, 2025, the L V Prasad College of Media Studies, in association with the US Consulate in India, organized a transformative workshop for media students from across the region. The event was designed to equip the next generation of storytellers with the skills and insights needed to shape their futures.
The highlight of the workshop was an interactive session led by the esteemed Ms. Caroline Libersco, a renowned documentary filmmaker. Drawing from her wealth of experience, Ms. Libersco shared invaluable wisdom and encouraged the attendees to explore the power of documentary filmmaking as a medium for social impact.
The session was presided by Mr. K.G Jayan- Dean and HOD of Cinematography – L V Prasad College of Media Studies, Thiruvananthapuram.
The workshop fostered an engaging and thought-provoking environment, where media students from various colleges, including our own DFM program, had the opportunity to learn, network, and gain inspiration. Participants left the event empowered with a deeper understanding of the craft, as well as a renewed passion for using their skills to make a meaningful difference in the world.
