L V Prasad College of Media Studies welcomed its new undergraduate students with an inspiring Induction Day on August 19, 2024, held at the Prasad Preview Theater. Beginning at 10:15 AM, the event provided students with an exciting introduction to the college’s creative community, featuring notable guest speakers from the film and television industry.
The Induction Day saw a stellar lineup of Chief Guests, including Mr. Vignesh Raja (Director and Screenwriter), Mr. Kalaiselvan Sivaji (Cinematographer), Mr. Alfred Prakash (Screenwriter), and Mr. Parthiv Mani (Television Director and Creative Producer). Mr. Vignesh Raja, Mr. Kalaiselvan Sivaji, and Mr. Alfred Prakash were part of the 2023 film Por Thozhil, and special introductory videos were played to celebrate their achievements. A moment of pride for the college, Mr. Alfred Prakash is also a distinguished alumnus of L V Prasad College, adding an inspirational touch to the event.
Mr. Parthiv Mani, celebrated for his work on popular television shows such as Super Singer and Cook With Komali on Vijay TV, shared valuable insights into the television industry. His presence captivated students, offering a glimpse into the world of entertainment.
The event also marked the induction of the Student Council members, adding a sense of responsibility and leadership among the students. The newly appointed council members were honored with name badges, presented by the distinguished guests. The council members include:
