Dear Prasad family,
We are thrilled to bring you the third edition of CONNECT! As promised in my earlier editorial, CONNECT has now transitioned into a Quarterly Newsletter, bringing you the latest updates, achievements, and happenings from across the Prasad Group.
When we decided to move to a quarterly format, I initially wondered if we would have enough stories to share. To my delight, we were overwhelmed with updates—so much so that we had to save a few for future editions!
A Prestigious Achievement: Congratulations to the entire team for securing the prestigious NFDC-NFAI QC Project! As the official vendor, we will provide manpower and setting up infrastructure for the quality control of the digitization project under the National Film Heritage Mission at the NFDC – NFAI in Pune, Maharashtra.
The Quarter of Film Re-releases: Prasad was involved in the re-release of several iconic films, delighting audiences and boosting theatre revenues. Prasad played a pivotal role in digitally re-mastering these films, enhancing their impact not only in theatres but also on OTT platforms.
Laapataa Ladies: Eyeing the Oscars! This is a heart-warming tale set in rural India and is in the running for India’s entry to the Oscars 2025! Our team in Mumbai provided color grading on Baselight, mastering, and QC for this incredible film. Let’s cheer it on as it journeys toward Oscar glory!
Colorization Triumphs: Our Film Colorization Division has transformed four iconic Marathi films back to life in vibrant colours. These masterpieces, broadcasted on Zee Talkies, achieved impressive TRP ratings, showcasing the enduring appeal of colorized classics.
Celebrating Togetherness: It’s been a lively quarter for the L V Prasad College of Media Studies, which welcomed its new UG and PG students with vibrant Induction Day celebrations. Across the Group, we celebrated occasions like Onam and enjoyed memorable team outings, all in great spirit.
